The War Thunder community in my personal opinion are some of the most idiotic over achievers and I love them for that.

Quite literally two weeks ago it was reported that an individual had leaked somewhat “classified” manual of the Eurofighter Typhoon DA7 to the War Thunder forums to “assist” Gaijin Entertainment in their efforts to add the vehicle to the game to be as realistic to life as humanly possible. While the DA7’s documents weren’t specifically classified as such, they did have an embargo towards non-NATO countries.

Except for the fact that Gaijin Entertainment are adamant towards the fact that they only utilize publicly available documentation regarding the vehicles and aircraft featured inside of War Thunder, so obviously those people leaking classified documents are just taking the piss at this point.

Well, it’s happened again. Making 2023 the most popular year for classified leaks to surface from within the War Thunder forums, the victim this time around comes in the form of the Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk stealth fighter.

Developed with a primary focus on conducting precise strikes against significant targets, the F-117 Nighthawk prominently utilized its advanced radar-evading capabilities to effectively penetrate heavily fortified areas.

Its combat debut took place during the 1989 United States invasion of Panama, followed by notable engagements in the Gulf War and the NATO bombing campaign in Yugoslavia.

While normally, Gaijin moderators would simply remove posts and keep threads alive, in the case of this F-117 Nighthawk leak, they outright nuked the thread entirely.

Once again, the leak in question comes in the form of a flight manual that discloses such privy information as sensor locations, firing angles, engine specifications among other things, the reasoning behind why the classified flight manual was posted is once again the same old mantra.

Normally classified documents are posted on the War Thunder forums for one of two reasons, firstly, men are arguing with other men online regarding their military centric vehicular combat game of choice as to why specific vehicles are depicted incorrectly in-game or as to why they deserve nerfs and or buffs.

Secondly, people post such classified documentation because they simply want the vehicles added to the game. But given the amount of times that Gaijin have outright stated that they will NOT use such classified information when it comes to the accuracy of vehicle depictions inside of War Thunder.

Once again these individuals are putting their heads on the chopping block just for shits and giggles, or in the case of the poor sod who leaked Chinese APFSDS shells, they were more than likely “unpersoned” by the CCP.

Either way, I’ll never get tired of this. Keep them coming, honestly with so many sacred classified documents from across the world surfacing on the War Thunder forums I wouldn’t be shocked to discover that War Thunder itself was merely a psy-op to either gather intel or intentionally “leak” falsified information.

Anyways, I now have twelve nickels, one for every time classified documents leak on War Thunder.
